Franz and his wife Burgi were born and raised in Carinthia, they were already married as when they gave their lives to Jesus in 1988. Today they have 4 children and 6 grandchildren. They are part of LIFE Church since the founding days of LIFE Church Villach.
Franz leads the church together with Esther Aitkuliev. Burgi is active in the Children's Ministry, Royal Ranger Scouts, Life Groups and works at Trinity in the kindergarten which together with a school is an integral part of LIFE Church Villach.

Franz Guzelnig is known as a songwriter (singing pastor) in Carinthia, He has released 4 albums in 10 years and many of them are played on Austrian radios. In Carinthia he had 2 No. 1 hits and several top ten placements. This also promoted the popularity of LIFE Church Villach. Today he still writes songs for other well known musicians, loves good healthy food (seafood and steak). He is fun loving and outgoing.
Burgi loves children and is the rock of the family. Burgi and Franz love to travel, love being Grandparents and have started playing golf.
Life Church Villach then and now:
LIFE Church Villach was founded in October 1992 and has become an apostolic center with both pastors being part of the national apostolic team of LIFE Church Austria. The church is very family orientated, with a Christian Kindergarten and an Elementary School. All Church services are translated into English as there is a growing international community within the church.
Life Church serves the town and community with its many activities for Children and youth. It has been a sending Church in the past for other church planters.
Both a challenge and an exciting development is the new building being erected as an event and education center called Novum Villach. It will be the home of the growing school and kindergarten, an event location and a great meeting place for the church.

Features of the Town:
Villach is known for the Villacher Fasching (Villach Carnival), which is broadcast throughout Austria every year, as well as the Villacher Kirchtag (Villach Church Day), which is considered the largest traditional festival in Austria and lasts eight days. The largest enterprise is the High Tech enterprise Infineon (3570 coworkers) with many international coworkers from the whole world which brings the city strong growth also in the housing construction. Villach is also attractive for tourists because it is surrounded by mountains and lakes.

Villach lies on the Drau River, is surrounded by the most beautiful lakes in Carinthia, Lake Faak, Lake Ossiach and Lake Wörth. Is a vacation region for swimming and hiking, cultural events such as the Carinthian Summer in Ossiach.

Villach is a very lively, up-and-coming, relatively wealthy town and needs are found under the surface, in destroyed families, strong red light milieu and an established drug scene among young people, all displaying a general lack of purpose and meaning.
